White House Condemns 'Democratic Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Images Made Public

Democratic lawmakers have made public a new tranche of what they described as "disturbing" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The first release of 19 photographs—some of which have been previously circulated—plus another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.

The shamed investor died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking charges.

High-Profile Individuals in the Images

Featured among the prominent personalities seen in the initial batch are public figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin business group.

Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.

White House Response

The White House responded to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of selectively "choosing" the pictures for political purposes and to "try and create a false narrative."

"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson said, maintaining that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging openness, releasing thousands of pages of papers, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."

Democratic Lawmaker Statement

The images were disclosed lacking captions, but per a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to wealthy individuals.

"The moment has come to stop this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he stated in a statement.

The release of these materials occurs alongside the House panel continuing its probe into the affair.
